Our Commitment

Making online learning easier to access and use

CPD212 aims to make its website, learner platform and online course content usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.

We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We therefore seek to design, review and improve digital services in a way that supports different devices, screen sizes, input methods and user needs.

Our objective is to reduce unnecessary barriers so that learners can navigate the platform, access course content, complete assessments and retrieve achievement records with greater independence.

Measures in Place

How we support accessibility

1
Clear page structure Pages use headings, sections and labels intended to make information easier to scan and understand.
2
Keyboard navigation Links, buttons and form controls are designed to be accessible without relying only on a mouse.
3
Readable colour contrast Text, controls and important status messages use contrasting colours intended to support readability.
4
Responsive design Layouts adapt to desktop computers, tablets and smaller mobile screens.
5
Form labels and instructions Forms include visible labels, supporting guidance and validation messages where appropriate.
6
Alternative text Meaningful images are provided with text alternatives where these are available and relevant.
7
Scalable content Users can use browser zoom and text enlargement without intentionally hiding core page information.
8
Consistent navigation Shared menus, page structures and controls are used to reduce unnecessary variation across the platform.
Supported Use

Accessing the platform

Browser Zoom

Most modern browsers allow users to enlarge text and page content using built-in zoom controls.

Keyboard Controls

Users should be able to move through interactive elements using the Tab key and activate controls using the keyboard.

Assistive Technology

The platform is intended to support commonly used screen readers and accessibility tools, subject to browser and device compatibility.

Known Limitations

Areas that may require further improvement

Although we aim to provide an accessible service, some course materials, third-party services, downloadable documents or older content may not yet meet the same accessibility standard as newer platform features.

Third-party content and services

Certain services, including payment systems, embedded media, external websites or files supplied by third parties, may operate outside our direct technical control. We will, where reasonably possible, seek an accessible alternative or provide support when a barrier is reported.

Alternative Arrangements

Requesting information in another format

Where reasonably possible, we will consider requests for information or support in an alternative format. This may include clearer written instructions, accessible electronic documents or assistance locating relevant platform content.

The time required to provide an alternative may depend on the nature and complexity of the requested material.
